Let’s be honest: OEM parts for PET blow molding lines are expensive. Really expensive. When you’re just trying to keep the line moving, those maintenance costs can start to feel like a drain on your budget. That’s why we built a replacement lamp that actually fits. It’s a direct swap for the SIPA SFR 12 rotary and Krones Contiform series. You get the same heat distribution you’re used to, but without the “OEM tax.” The technical side of things These lamps run on high voltage to get that rapid preheating just right. We’ve matched the original wattage and voltage exactly. Why? Because if the temperature isn’t spot on during that tiny window when the PET stretches, you’ve got a problem. One quick heads-up: don’t push the voltage past the specs. If you do, you’ll fry the filament. Also, make sure your power supply is steady. Voltage spikes are the fastest way to kill these tubes. Built for the grind We use high-purity quartz glass. It has to be. These things cycle on and off constantly, and cheap glass just can’t handle that kind of thermal shock. Plus, we use R7s or Sk15 connectors. This means when you’re in the middle of a shift change and every second counts, you can wire these up quickly and get back to work. We also added a special coating to the quartz. Instead of letting heat leak out into the oven chassis, it pushes the infrared energy right where it needs to go: the preform wall. Real-world use Rotary blow molders are tough environments. They vibrate. They get hot. They’re noisy. These lamps are designed for that chaos. Since they’re a “drop-in” fit, you don’t have to mess around with your lamp holders or reflectors. You just put them in and go. But here is the thing: the lamp is only half the battle. Your oven’s airflow is what really determines how long these last. If your cooling fans are clogged with dust, the housing will overheat and the lamp will burn out early. It’s a good habit to check your reflectors for oxidation every few months. It keeps the heat focused and your production steady.
