If you plug these into a circuit that’s already sharing a load with other big appliances, you’re probably going to trip your breaker. It’s a pain. To avoid flickering lights or a drop in heat, we really suggest running a dedicated line for your heaters. Now, because of that eye-protection coating, the lamps take just a tiny bit longer to warm up than a raw quartz tube. Honestly? It’s a trade-off we’re happy to make for a safer home.
