How it actually works
Instead of just warming up the air—which doesn’t do much when the room is full of steam—these heaters use short-wave infrared. Think of it like sunlight hitting your skin on a cold day. It doesn’t heat the wind; it heats you. These lamps do the same thing to your tiles and glass. They blast energy straight through that layer of moisture, forcing the water to evaporate almost instantly. Because the glass stays warm, the steam never has a chance to settle.No condensation, no standing water, and definitely no mold.
The gear inside
We use high-wattage quartz tubes for a reason. Quartz can handle being turned on and off rapidly without cracking under the pressure. And that shiny reflector behind the bulb? It’s not there to look pretty. Its only job is to point the heat exactly where it needs to go. If that reflector is even slightly crooked, you lose that concentrated heat, and you’re right back to wiping your mirror with a towel.
A few things to watch out for
